Using weight data, Census statistics and medical expenditure information, Thorpe found:
•An obese person will have an average of $8,315 in medical bills a year in 2018 compared with $5,855 for an adult at a healthy weight. That's a difference of $2,460.
•If the percentage of obese adults doesn't change but stays at the current rate of 34%, then excess weight will cost the nation about $198 billion by 2018.
•If the obesity rate continues to rise until 2018, then Colorado may be the only state with less than 30% of residents who are obese.
•More than 50% of the population in several states could be obese by 2018: Oklahoma, Mississippi, Maryland, Kentucky, Ohio and South Dakota.
The report adds to the growing body of evidence of obesity's impact on medical costs. A study released in July showed that obese Americans cost the country about $147 billion in weight-related medical bills in 2008, double what it was a decade ago. It now accounts for about 9.1% of medical spending.

I know you can't see the actual tables but this is from a study conducted by CNN.:
Here is a list, according to CNN Money of the states with Unemployment Rates higher than the current average of 6.1%. Scoopthis added data involving the political makeup of each state based upon this table from www . polidata . org:

"One thing we know as Republicans is our base will show to the polls the Obama base will have many who no show election day..."
The one thing that we do know is the Republican base has shrunk -- it was never a real majority anyway. Now its down to the hard core. Yes they will turn out but they will be hard pressed to hold all the Red states let alone capture Blue states. Virginia is going Blue. North Carolina is leaning Obama. Missisippi may elect a Dem Senator. Georgia is only "leaning" McCain. South Dakota and Montana are in a virtual tie. Colorado and NM have turned blue, Nevada may be right behind them.
I believe it was over when McCain couldn't remember how many houses he owns!

From Reznet:
Obama, McCain Fight Will Test Indian Ideals
By Kevin Abourezk May 9, 2008
As the Democratic nomination race edges closer to a conclusion, Native people are increasingly faced with a new question.
Should they support Sen. Barack Obama or Sen. John McCain?
Inevitably, that question leads to another: Why do Native Americans typically vote Democratic? This year, more than any other I can remember, that question must be asked.
It's widely accepted that Native people vote Democratic. Most state and national Democratic politicians, from former President Bill Clinton to Sen. Tim Johnson of South Dakota, have enjoyed strong Native support.
That's especially true in states with significant Native populations like Arizona, New Mexico, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota, where Indians have often provided the swing vote for Democratic politicians seeking higher office.
Then there's McCain, an Arizona senator who has consistently defied the odds, having served as chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee and proven himself a powerful voice for Native causes during his time in the Senate.
When he ran for president in 2000, McCain enjoyed significant support from tribal leaders for making Indian issues a priority in his campaign. Impossible to dismiss as a potential White House ally to Indians, McCain will force many tribal leaders in the coming months to question exactly what
